Close Up Portraits
Ted Talk critique
the ted talk is about how photography can be connected to us and how it tells different stories. I think that it really shows how animals are in the real world. the photographers captured really good shots but my favorite ones were seal ones. They were so cute and showed how if people would just not harm the wildlife but mainly the sea life, they most likely wouldn’t act the way that they do. the leopard seals are shown trying to feed the photographer because it felt “pity” on him. I thought that this was really cute because it shows that they aren’t threatening species unless they feel threatened. I also liked the angles of the images because they show the character and personality of the animals, it was nice how the presenter was describing the different types of photography. he really did a good job with that. I thought that the ted talk was really good.

black & white and shades of grey
color photo depicts the world as it really is – whereas black and white photos only show a version of reality, one that seems more interpretive and creative. A color image will often include datable elements – but in black and white, these features may be much harder to place.
Fill Flash
Its a photography technique in which the camera flash is deployed to illuminate the darker areas of an image, especially the subject. When the subject is underexposed due to the deficit of sunlight and other lights or sometimes due to the backlight, fill flash is supplemented to correctly expose the subject. Using fill flash is a daunting task as they apprehend overexposure of a photo. But with the appropriate use of a fill flash, you can nail your photography. Fill flash can produce a stellar outcome if leveraged deftly and accurately. No matter how the subject looks like, the utilization of the fill flash can ramp up the overall aesthetic of a portrait and provide a high-end vibe.
